From 1933 through 1945 an awful reality broke out called the Holocaust. About six million people were killed, but a few survived. One of the survivors was Elie Wiesel; he wrote an autobiography called Night. Wiesel talks about his painful memories in the camps and the conditions of the camp. There are many reasons why he should keep these memories intact; he would lose a lot if he forgot them. Wiesel experienced brutality and cruelty during the time he was forced to go to the camps.
