That’s one reason 62-year old Gloria Arroyo a Philadelphia native says happened to her when she started menopause. Gloria explained that she never felt comfortable speaking with her doctor about menopause because it was considered a private issue for her. Gloria also never thought that it was a topic worth doctors initiating. She also says that this lack of patient and doctor relationship led her to hide her symptoms by taking over the counter meds which eventually did her more harm than good.
