Have you ever thought about the legalization of marijuana? Many people have different beliefs on why marijuana should or shouldn't be legalized. Marijuana shouldn’t be legalized because of its health issues on the brain, lungs, and it could lead to the use stronger more dangerous drugs.
Some people believe that the legalization of marijuana shouldn't be done. Marijuana leads to using stronger and more dangerous drugs. For example if someone smokes marijuana they would be curious about the effects of other drugs. Research shows that the vast majority of high school students who do use other drugs used marijuana first. Marijuana can cause a lot of damage to your brain. Marijuana’s effects on these abilities may last a long time or even be permanent. For example, a study showed that people who started smoking marijuana heavily in their teens and had an ongoing cannabis use disorder lost an average of eight IQ points between ages 13 and 38. The medical use of marijuana as a therapeutic substance prescribed by registered physicians to treat certain conditions or to ease the painful side effects of other medical treatments. For example if someone has very severe pain they could have some medically prescribed marijuana for the pain. There for marijuana is good to help people with pain problems. A chemical found in marijuana stops cancer from spreading. With this chemical it would help reduce the spreading of cancer. By getting people to use marijuana it would be good for society if it stops cancer from spreading. Also it may help reverse the carcinogenic effects of tobacco and improve lung health. If it helps improve lung health people with lung problems should use marijuana to improve their lung health. Since marijuana will help with lung health it should be allowed rather than
