Technology Is Killing Us Several hundred years ago man devised a way to harness electricity so it could be controlled and used commercially. This was, and still is, the most profound technological advancement made in human history. Electricity is the basis of everything that is done today. It’s used to further advance current technology, as well as making life more habitable for the everyday person. Using electricity, man was able to conceive devices such as the: television, computer, telephone, and the list goes on. Technology is used in nearly every medical procedure, be it a life-saving operation or a simple diagnosis. Biology isn’t the only form of science that has benefited though. Astronomy is another branch of science that has improved with the advancement of technology.
