Has President Trump been treated unfairly by all forms of media? Media is defined as the main means of mass communication. Donald Trump was elected to be president in November of 2016. This brought anger to some and joy to others. It seems that he might be one of the most controversial presidents in our history. People either absolutely love or despise him. There aren’t many opinions in the middle. The people who hate him are being influenced by all forms of media and don’t have the truthful information regarding Trump. President Trump has been treated unfairly by the news, social media, and entertainment medias.

While this is true in most cases, it isn’t as bad as it is with Trump. “Trump’s coverage during his first 100 days was not merely negative in overall terms. It was unfavorable on every dimension. There was not a single major topic where Trump’s coverage was more positive than negative”(News coverage). All of the U.S. news outlets coverage is at least 50% negative, including Fox News. Both NBC and CNN are 93% negative when it comes to President Trump. The data also shows that Obama's coverage was 41% negative, and Clinton's 60%. While Trump has hit a new level with 80% of all coverage being negative. For some reason Trump is a special case. He has received the most unfavorable coverage by far, no matter the topic, in the eyes of the media he is in the wrong. “Since Trump’s election, the coal mining industry has added 35,000 jobs, and the two largest coal companies in the United States, which had previously been forced into bankruptcy, are once again showing signs of life”(PRO/CON). Trump has created lots of jobs and the stock market is doing great. The economy is thriving. But it seems no matter what Trump does he’s not doing any good. He has only helped our economy and yet the mainstream media’s coverage over Trump and the economy is 53% negative. This data shows that the press is unfairly negative towards President
