In other words, being a vegetarian is not an all or nothing situation. People often customize what they want or do not want to eat to fit their reasoning for not wanting to eat it. Carroll, an eighteen year old georgia college student, gives another reason for not eating meat, “Honestly I just have a hard time eating something that I know had eyes. It is like thinking about an innocent child looking at you while you kill it for personal desires.” There are also people who do not eat meat because they are concerned about the hormones we put into our livestock.
