On April 13, 2017, a very shocking and scary thing happened. One of my best friends got hit by a train around 3:10 while he was in his car. So right after school. His name is Austin Cole Wiseman. At 7:16PM one of my friends texted me and said “Did you hear about Austin Wiseman?” and I said, “ No! What happened?”. She said he was driving with a 15 year old girl and their car was hit by a train and they are both in critical condition.” I thought she had been joking at first, even though she usually wasn’t the person to joke around. She said that she wasn’t joking. To reassure myself I looked on the news and there I saw his name, Austin Wiseman. The title of the article was “Two injured in car crash vs. train crash”, and I saw a picture of his car right below the title. It was completely ruined. That’s when my heart started

When we were singing at church, that’s when I started to feel really sad for some reason. I felt like I could’ve just started balling my eyes out right there. But then I realized that I should be appreciative of what I have right now and that everything is going to be okay. So if you’re ever going through a hard time you just need to realize that everything is going to be okay and you’ll get through any obstacle that you’re going through. It’ll take time to get over something. You just need to be appreciative of what you have and always remember to be humble and kind to everyone because you never know when something is going to happen to someone. For example, I would’ve never imagined austin getting hit by a train just a couple of hours after talking to him first period in art. You don’t want to ever have any regrets because you’ll never know when you could possibly lose your close friend or a loved one. To conclude, just always be humble and kind to everyone because anything could happen. Even when you aren’t expecting it. It could be sudden. Don’t take your friends and family for granted. Care for them and love
