By choosing an image that juxtaposes a healthy brain versus a brain affected by chronic traumatic encephalopathy can visually show how the detrimental long term effects of head injuries. The brain on the right shows a shriveled and blacken brain whereas on the left side of the picture shows a healthy brain. By using graphic imagery I can tap into the reader’s emotions and evoke a sense of disgust and fear to visually present the possible outcome. The symmetrical layout between the healthy and damaged brain creates a metaphor that also represents the difference between life and death. In addition, not only did I use a juxtaposition of two brains to present to the viewer, but I used prezi’s ability to create additional space by using sub slides within the pictures of the brain. To enhance the presentation, I also used prezi’s ability to zoom within slides to simulate as if the reader actually went into the brain instead of a traditional presentation where the audience transitions from one slide to the next. I believe Prezi was the best medium to present my topic because I could incorporate videos, audio and images within my slides. In the argumentative essay I was limited to only the linguistics mode to justify my argument, but Prezi opened many possibilities to craft and enhance my argument. Using video clips and youtube videos not only allowed me to inform but engage the reader with many interesting story, facts, and statistics. In addition adding images such as the contrasting brain to the presentation let me direct and capture the audience while letting me keeping old information. Altogether prezi’s template opened the door to many possibilities, effectively summarizing and supporting my argument into a new form of medium
