Sophie Germain was born in Paris, France on April 1, 1776. Her parents names were Marie- Madeline and Ambroise- Francois, and she was the second of the three daughters, they were a wealthy upper class French family. She began having an interest in mathematics when the Bastille fell and everyone was confined inside their homes, she would go inside her father’s library and read. She fell in love with a story about Archimedes and wanted to be just like him and from then on she wanted to know what was so interesting to Archimedes that he would fail to realize his own impending death. From then on, she found a love for mathematics and for solving different equations. At that time period
