In this assignment we are going to elaborate on the role of aqueous humor and vitreous humor in maintaining the pressure of the globe, the structures related to the humor, functions of the humors, origin and also pathology related to them.
PHYSIOLOGY OF THE AQUEOUS HUMOR
The aqueous humour is a transparent fluid similar to plasma, but containing low protein concentrations. It is secreted from the ciliary epithelium (a structure supporting the lens). It is located in the anterior and posterior chambers of the eye, the space between the lens and the cornea. It flows through the narrow cleft between the front of the lens and the back of the iris, to escape through the pupil into the anterior chamber, and then to drain out of the eye via the trabecular meshwork.

CILIARY BODY
The ciliary body is a part of the eye that includes the ciliary muscle, which plays a role in maintaining the shape of the lens, and the ciliary epithelium, which produces the aqueous humor. The ciliary body is part of the uvea.it delivers oxygen and nutrients to the eye tissues. The ciliary body joins the ora serrata of the choroid to the root of the iris it also play role in maintaining pressure in the eye
2. TRABECULAR MESHWORK
The trabecular meshwork is the filter like tissue located in the interior segment of the eye, it is composed of a series of fenestrated beans trough which aqueous humor flows to pass or exit the anterior chamber via schlemms canal.
3. CORNEA
The cornea is the transparent front part of the eye that covers the iris, pupil, and anterior chamber. The cornea, with the anterior chamber and lens, both refracts light, THE ORIGIN OF AQUEOUS
