My responsibility for this workshop was to proceed with a handover of a patient to an intern (played by Dr. Michael Adamson). This was a particularly disasterous session. My performance was not only unfit within the scope of academic criteria, but was clearly short of acceptable for a real-world SBAR. During the reading of the scenario I was daunted by the task of having to SBAR report a patient to admission at a hostpital, based on information I was reading for the first time; my practice with the hand-over system was minimal prior to the session.…
Chapter Reflection Questions How did patterns of family life and attitudes toward women differ in the northern and southern colonies? In the Chesapeake colonies of the South, women primarily served the purpose of bearing children. An unbalanced ratio between men and women meant that few women remained unwed for long, and women gave birth on average every two years and had an average of eight children each if they lived long enough. These women were rarely able to raise their children by themselves, as childbirth was one of the most common causes of death for women.…
Actually, I am still in the most challenging academic course I have taken to date, AP United States History (APUSH). APUSH has been difficult for me due to the fact that I had very little knowledge of US history preceding my enrollment in the class. Furthermore, prior to this class I had never really had to study extensively to maintain high marks. APUSH has been different. Having little knowledge of this material, I have had to spend much more time studying.…
I want to become a Math professor. I am interested in going to Texas State because of their Program of Education. But in order to become a professor, it consist of getting a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree. In Texas State I want to major in Math and minor in Spanish. In about five years after my bachelor’s degree, I want to get a Master’s degree also specializing in Math, therefore becoming a Math professor.…
Despite what many people think, WHAP is not just a class about memorizing as many facts about the world as you can. It is actually about trying to understand human nature and why things happened the way that they did in history. I think that the main reason that I struggled more in history than in any other class was that it is my first AP class. I have always been told that AP classes were the hardest, and I now see why many people think that. There were many instances in which I struggled in that class.…
Considering your current and future job, family, community and other responsibilities, please explain and illustrate or diagram how you will manage your time in order to accomplish the 400 plus hours of out-of-class homework assignments over the two and one half years of OFE. The next few years would be one of the best times for me to enroll in the Ohio Fire Executive Class. This past August my youngest daughter started her collegiate career and with that a lot of my time has freed up to pursue other activities. In the past I have managed my time with my busy work schedule, my children’s school activities and sports, and was able to get my degree in applied science while doing all of them.…
The amount of work I have to do for an AP class is sometimes overwhelming. For example, in my AP Psychology class I was assigned to read a fifty two page chapter while taking notes and defining all fifty seven vocabulary words; the already arduous task was coupled with my chapter reading and book work for AP U.S. history. To simply write notes on a twenty page chapter of history takes two to three hours at times, so imagine doing more than twice the…
AP Chemistry has made me realize that you need to work hard for the things you want. AP Chemistry is by far the hardest class I have ever taken. It was full of hard concepts and ideas that I could not seem to understand. Most times, I stayed up studying for tests until three in the morning. My teacher had tests that were based on past AP exams and in order to reach the highest score, a five, you usually needed to get a minimum percentage of seventy percent.…

As for the rest of my classes such as AP Lang, AP U.S History, and AP Biology I have really enjoyed…
I realized I couldn’t put this off like I would have usually done. I had to keep up with upcoming work and past while making sure I didn’t fall back in my other classes. I completed three homeworks a day for English so I’d be finish way before the deadline and for living environment I did the same.…
As I began this assignment, I found it difficult to recognize when I was having negative thoughts. I decided to track my thoughts over the course of spring break. I began recording my thoughts as spring break began at Fort Stewart in Georgia. I tracked my thoughts as the week continued.…
The book “The Big Time” was written by Tim Green centered towards a younger audience and written as a sports fiction book. The protagonist, Troy, a young football standout who’s life is absorbed in football, in the most basic level, and even on the most extreme level in the NFL. He has a mind unlike any other kid his age or adult for that matter. He has the ability to read the offensive patterns set during a game before the play even begins. As he examines the formation and he sees how the linemen are set, he can predict the play, and is almost always perfect in his predictions.…
Sophomore year has been an interesting year so far. The first day I walked into AP World History (aka WHAP) confident, but slightly nervous for the workload to come. It was just an intro-first day type of thing, but Chapter 1 had already been assigned. I remember thinking “All ready? It’s just the first day of school!”…
Most of the work was done in class, not on my own time. I take frequent test that cover small amounts of information. Also, my homework makes up where a large portion of my grade. High school had their difference ways from teaching and student standards than…
