BACKGROUND
The purpose of the lab was to test the effectiveness of various antiseptics on P acne bacteria.
An antiseptic is a liquid that destroys bacteria and microorganisms. An inhibition zone is the area where the antiseptic has killed the bacteria, and the bigger the inhibition zone, the more effective that particular antiseptic is against that particular bacteria.
P acne bacteria was collected from the faces of students, and placed onto agar in a petri dish. The agar was put into an incubator and stayed there overnight. Then the bacteria was applied to a petri dish that was divided into quadrants. From there, antiseptics, not known by the students, were placed
