When I first looked at this week’s assignment, I was torn on which to choose. Two thing were critical in assisting me in making the decision. The first was my daughter, I found myself about a month or so ago explain to my daughter that she need to know how to escape her classroom incase someone entered with a gun and opened fire. We talked about her waiting until police arrived, hiding under the desk, climbing out the one window in the class, or running out of class into another teacher’s room. I never thought I would have to have that conversation with my 10-year-old daughter who in the 5th grade. Of course this conversation happened right after the teacher and two students in California were killed by the teachers estranged husband.
