Anne speaks and says whatever, whenever she wants, which makes her outspoken. What she does not know is that if she keeps on speaking her mind, she could suffer serious consequences. This quote explains that not only does Anne talk whenever she can, she stands up for her right to talk. “We aren’t allowed to have any opinions. People can tell you to keep your mouth shut, but it doesn’t stop you having your own opinion. Even if people are still very young, they shouldn’t be prevented from saying what they think” (163).
