Argumentative Essay: Anna Garcia's Murder Case

Anna Garcia was a 38 year old hispanic woman found dead in her house on August 15th in Anytown, USA. She weighed 155 pounds and was 61 inches tall and seemed to be in an unhealthy state. She was found wearing a jacket in a heatwave and amounts aspirin were found in her body. Her life before her death appears to be very hectic as she recently divorced her husband, Alex Garcia, and had business fights with her best friend, Lucy Leffingwell. The possible persons of interest for the crime are Alex Garcia, Anna’s former husband, Lucy Leffingwell, Anna’s best friend, Erica Piedmont, An Ex's new wife, and Doug Green, Anna’s neighbor who reported the scene to the police. The body of Anna was found 3 hours after her death and was reported to the police …show more content…
When compared to the hair of all the suspects and victim it appeared that the hair belonged to Anna Garcia. Thsw was concluded because the 3 layers cuticle, cortex, and medulla were the same shape and color from that of the crime scene. researchers know if 2 strands of hair have the same pattern or color they come from 1 source, so this would mean the hair came from Anna Garcia.
Unknown Substance: The unknown substance in the crime scene was in the form of pills above Anna Garcia’s head. When taken to the lab and compared to various substances and how they reacted with indicators it was found that the unknown substance had the same reactions as Acetoxybenzoic acid or aspirin. This can be determined because each substance has unique properties and ways it reacts with other substances. Since aspirin has the same reaction as the unknown substance at the crime scene the unknown substance at the crime scene was Aspirin.
Blood Spatter: The blood spatter found in the crime scene shows that the blood fell from Anna’s head at a certain angle. To determine this angle the diameter of the blood drops from the crime scene were measured and compared to those from how they would be at different height. After comparing it with the trials in the lab, it can be determined that since the diameter is ⅜ by ¼ the blood was dropped from 5-10 inches from the
