Andrew Lloyd Webber was a famous English musician and composer of musical theatre, who was born in London on March 22, 1948. Lloyd Webber, a young prodigy, started composing music at six years old, and published his first piece at the age of nine. His parents, William and Joan Hermione deeply influenced him, his father being the director of the London College of Music and his mother, a piano teacher. As an adolescent, Andrew Lloyd Webber dreamed of becoming Britain's chief inspector of ancient monuments. He eventually got a scholarship and at Oxford University, began a degree in history.
