Many people think that it came from the Jewish, but the Roma ns really were the ones who took off with Christianity. It is the world’s largest religion. 1/3 of people in the world identify themselves as Christian. Before Christianity started the Romans believed in many gods whom they had to make sacrifices too. When Christianity started many Romans accepted it because thet like the idea of having a personal connection with only one god. The literature from roman times influenced many of the world’s greatest writers including Shakespeare. Roman art has influences many artists. In the renaissance period we saw the rebirth of the classical arts, much to Rome’s contributions. The Romans made up the Latin alphabet. All over the world people learn this alphabet.
