Ancient Egypt has many influences on the design world. One of the design influences is the furniture that is being used every day. The furniture also shows the status of someone’s life. The furniture piece that I will be focusing on is the bed frame and how it was made, as well as how it can show its’ owners status.
Beds are an essential part of sleeping but back in Ancient Egypt they did not have the materials that we have today. The structure of the bed that was made in the period of Ancient Egypt is structurally sound and sturdy enough to last over thousands of years. The beds that were made in Ancient Egypt were made of a wood framing and were slightly slanted up on one side. The framing also has carving and embellishments to create detail
