Analysis: We Can Grow Our Brain When We Learn New Things

P1: Diagnostic Essay Studies have shown that we can grow our brain when we learn new things and challenge ourselves to think. The brain is just like a muscle, if we don’t use it it will remain the same. As we use our brain, it becomes stronger and parts of our brain start changing. There is no such thing as someone being stuck being dumb because we can always practice and learn new things to get our brain to get stronger. When we start challenging the brain and start learning new things that we don't know, new brain cells start to grow. When the cells inside our brain start to communicate that is when we start to think and find solutions to problems. I remember taking a math class, which was very challenging for me, I also remember that I …show more content…
In their research, scientist found out that animals who did not live on their own and had toys to play with would figure out how to use those toys. As a result those animals grew their brains and were heavier by 10% compared to the animals that lived alone and had no toys. As we think, solve problems and learn new things we become more smarter. A lot of people don't realise that when we practice and learn new things our brain starts to change and get bigger. It is not also about effort but also about learning new skills to use the brain smarter in diffent ways. A good way to become smarter is to always challenge the brain, put effort, find good strategies and get help from people. As I mentioned before, when I was taking this math class I found out that I was not doing well in that class because I was not challenging my mind enough and I would find myself always skipping the harder problems and just doing the easiest ones. The time when I saw results was when I started challenging myself and trying to find new strategies on how to do those problems by seeking help from the teacher or any other class mate. As a result I was doing better on my exams and got better in
