The word not only resembles success, but also carries a large feeling of satisfaction. I remember vividly the first time I was really affected by the word. On a beautiful Friday evening in September, I, along with my football teammates were playing Platteville for the third game of the season. The game was a battle up until half time with neither team really breaking through. It was a tight game, very hard played by both teams. I remember going into the locker room at halftime not content with the way we had performed in the first half. We talked as a team until the coaches got into the room and then they made some adjustments to the game plan that would help us play better. We all left the locker room hungry for victory, and were willing to do whatever it took to get the first win of the season. Coming out of half we were playing really well. The offense was moving the ball and the defense was getting big stops, everything was playing out perfect for us. We got the ball back for our second possession of the half, and on second down I remember the call coming in, spread veer right no motion and thinking this will be perfect. I was designed to be the option guy on the play and knew there was a large chance I would be getting the ball. This is one play we fixed at half and I had all the confidence in the world it was going to be a big play.
