The settings in which the films are set a very much like what the audience would see on a day to day basis, for example council estates. These settings allow the audience to interact and relate to the meaning behind the film. The directer has chosen to use a house for a higher class family because it broadens the audience more could allow the unintended audience to relate tot he film as well. Costume also plays a huge impact in this film as all of the characters where “common” clothes, these clothes include hoodies, trainers, tracksuits, and hats. These types of clothes allows the urbanite audience to identify with characters and further relate to the characters. One of the last elements that brings the whole film together is the type of lighting used in this film, dark/grey lighting is used in this film to create the dingey, drab atmosphere which create the feeling that there is no hope of for anyone in this film. At the end of the film where Trevor was stabbed, the scene is set in the night which could be symbolic for the end of his life, however there are a few lights
