1. Introduction
Kenneth Branagh, renowned actor, producer, screenwriter, and director, can dedicate much of his career to his early Shakespearian performance and work, “Much Ado About Nothing.” This performance has sparked the careers of many now well-known actors but Branagh’s character, Benedick, receives much of the spotlight. Through his talent in acting, Branagh brings light and understanding to a character with an otherwise difficult plot—and his talent in directing extends the same to all the characters. He is able to make this play with difficult dialogue more enjoyable and understandable by employing a certain acting style.
2. Critical Response

Sometimes it seems as though we are not compatible and we cannot agree. I began to consider the times that we get along best and it seems to relate perfectly with my observations of the acting style in “Much Ado About Nothing”—when we are careful to express what we think and feel in an effective way, such as when the actors are careful to let their body language reflect their dialogue, we are better able to get along. Also, we each seem to have characters placed in our lives to help us. Specifically for me, I have people that I can turn to when I feel an absence of being able to turn to my mom. This can be good and bad, but what is important is the interaction that I have with each relationship. When I am careful to fully express myself, and then place myself where I need to be in the lives of others, I can better orchestrate the play of my life.
