As previously stated in the beginning paragraph, Deontology is closely related to the views of Christianity, which is also a part of my beliefs. I am what Dr. Hodge referred to as a “Super-naturalist” (Hodge, Lecture on 1-12-15), or someone who believes that things have a supernatural explanation for their existence. Being a Christian, I have a standard of rules I live by that serve as a guide for how I go about life. I disagree with Consequentialism because I would not be able to make a decision to kill one person to save twenty. Although this philosophy is good in theory, I feel like I wouldn 't have the heart to hurt someone even if it for the good of the majority, because what if that one person were me. On the other hand, I agree with Deontology because I believe that right thing should be done; however, I am unable to say that I would always do the right thing no matter the circumstance because I am a sinner and am nowhere near
