He knew that it was important that he again receive votes from Texas. And an important place within Texas that they planned to visit was Dallas. People were weary of Kennedy going to Dallas. A Senator from Arkansas said “Dallas is a very dangerous place. I wouldn 't go there. Don 't you go”. This was not the only fearful request that Kennedy had received telling him to skip over Dallas in his campaigning tour. But to Kennedy, skipping over Dallas was not an option. After some time in New Orleans, Marina, Oswalds wife, decided she would move to Irving, Texas and stay with a friend because she was expecting a baby.
