In Diana George 's essay "Changing the Face of Poverty” she uses Habitat for Humanity 's publicity videos as an example to demonstrate her frustration with the perception of poverty in America today. Whereas political and religious beliefs differ, we can all get behind the restoration or rebuilding of a new home for a person or family in need. The downside to a renovation is it happens quickly with a lot of help from a large group of people and when the project is done there is a false sense of the mission is accomplished. We feel we fixed that situation and can move on now. When in reality the problem is not solved, there is still an investment of time and resources that need to occur. There are no quick fixes for the cycle of poverty and we all need to acknowledge this, so we do not just move
