One of his major issues discussed in Crippled America is infrastructure. Trump thinks that America’s infrastructure is crumbling to the ground, and the only one that can fix this is him. Rebuilding all of America’s infrastructure will be a very expensive and lengthy process. He complains about our airports looking as if they are from a third world country, that our bridges are deficient, and that we have an overwhelming amount of potholes in our roads. Once these issues are rebuilt and fixed, according to Trump, “America will be beautiful again” (126). Trump is convinced that the money spent on this enormous project to fix America’s infrastructure will in return create jobs, stimulate the economy, and with time, pay for itself. This removes 75 million households from paying income taxes. Trump has clearly shown that without a doubt the elite Americans can easily afford a higher taxation, while the hard working middle class can not. Trump’s new simplified tax code will not allow or make room for any loopholes or deductions for special interests and the rich and will be broken down into four brackets. This decrease in middle class taxation will only allow America to grow as a whole; college savings will go up, the economy will boost, and personal debt will go down (153).
