Analysis Of Clorox's Clean Matters

Debuting in late September, Clorox’s new commercial advertisement “Clean Matters” markets its product lines as a clean slate for all of life’s messes. The commercial takes viewers through a plethora of family scenarios where messes are made and clorox products help refresh and start over. Majority of the scenarios focused on family dynamics, where parents are cleaning up after or for their children.

The ad can be understood through two concepts that we addressed in class: emotions and motivation. Clorox has created an emotional connection with its consumers and continues with this ad. It utilizes imagery to evoke joy and happiness from viewers. Clorox’s target market is parents and adults, so the imagery of babies and funny family moments
