Case Study: Castor Collins Insurance Company

As a chosen representative of Castor Collins insurance company, I am in charge of choosing an insurance plan for a group of workers, construcit consist of 1,000 people. While the second group E-editors have 1,600 neither groups has employer insurance, which means individuals of both groups would have to pay for their own insurance. The people at Construcit are willing to pay $4,000 per person for premium and the people at E-editors are also willing to pay $4,500 per person for their premium. There are two plans that are suitable for these groups, castor standard and castor enhanced. But to mitigate risk they would have to customize castor enhanced to remove services that may have high utilization.

E-editors on the other hand had choices that would either up their premium and up their annual earnings. Great for the company bad for the group of workers, because they will still be paying high out of pocket cost, it will be a good idea for these groups of workers to assess their needs and identify priorities so they will know what to look for in a plan. They need to consider the costs, coverage, benefits, doctor flexibility and plan limitations to help them decide which plan is right for them. They either have a choice of castor standard that doesn’t apply coverage for pre-existing conditions or they can choose the castor enhanced and have pre-existing coverage. I honestly would not sell neither insurance plans to the company. When I made the choice for constructit the castor standard plan would have been beneficial if it covered pre-existing conditions. E-editor would also have to go with castor standard or not be choosing at all. So that is why I would not choose to sell these plans to any of the company.

It is a very important decision a company must make about their businesses, and it’s what type of health insurance they can offer to their employees. Aside from paid vacation time, employees consider health insurance the most important benefit an employer can offer. This is not a decision to take lightly.
