Reed’s parent in the first video already had a close mind in what they wanted for their child which impact the conversation in the IEP meeting. As parents are the key point on implementing an IEP, the school officials were not willing to consider their concerns by over talking they believe is best for Reed’s least restricted environment level. For instance, in the first video, the parents stated they did not have a chance to travel to Kennedy School as it was out of their distance. This comment provided the school official knowledge the parents did not want to consider the school for their child and believe they only want to the Jones Elementary School for their child’s educational development. While observing the second video, Reed’s parents provided details of them researching Kennedy School and their unwillingness of visiting the school due to illness of Reed, rather than the travel.
