We stopped at a Dairy Queen and the first thing I got was a Pepsi. Johnny and I gorged on barbecue sandwiches and banana splits.
“Alright now, I want you boys to tell me everything.” Aibileen says. Johnny and I look at each other. We don’t normally trust anyone outside the gang, but there's just something about Aibileen that makes you trust her. I take a deep breath and tell her everything. I start with the gang and our families and move on to Johnny and that boy he killed. Throughout my story Aibileen is quiet. I get to the end of the story and just look at her.
“What should we do?” I ask finally. I’ve decided to trust her. I couldn’t tell you why. I just decided.
“Law, I don’t know. I just don’t know.” She responds softly. “I don’t like
