The article illustrates an argument against television for children. The author for this article is Seth Mullins. The author is objective and fair because in this article it has the pros and cons about the effect of watching television for children. The questions existed when the author make a survey on the past studies of other authors which shown that a significant number of American children spent more time in front of a television set than in a classroom.
From the author’s point of view, we know that the author wanted to create awareness starting from the readers before spreading it out to the community by written this article that shown the television give side impact toward the children. First and foremost, the minds of the young children can be affected by the action and the behavior from watching TV shows. The impact programming that being harmful for children from the television will affect the ways they interpreted and feel. The children become inactive and the imaginary on their minds get attacked but they cannot give any respond because it is just a virtual not a reality world.

Many studies made on child cognitive development suggest that too much stress laid upon the intellect can have an adverse effect upon their learning processes. The children will become passive and inactive if they watching too much television.
