It is a plan or a strategy, this plan makes sure a company’s brand or product gains competitive advantage. An advantage of an Effective strategy is that it helps the sales force focus on targeting market clients and communicate with them in relevant, meaningful ways. A Sales agents basic requirement is to know what product they are offering and how their products or services can solve customer difficulties Therefore a sales strategy is an essential to the business.

It is a couple of techniques used to encourage people to work and finish their tasks willingly. These techniques are used at work by managers, at home by parents, at school by teachers and even in our daily lives with our friends.
There were different motivation theories introduced in the past that people still follow till today.
One of these theories is Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.
The Maslow’s theory was introduced in1943, by Mr Abraham Maslow. This theory was about human motivation. It was based on the level of human needs and how a human reaction and behavior are related to his needs. Maslow believed that once the human needs are fulfilled he is motivated to get the job done. The hierarchy identified all human needs and arranged them in order of importance and priority. He has designed his pyramid in such a way where the priority needs are placed at the bottom of the pyramid followed by the less important

When an employee feels that he is part of a group and that he is accepted the way he is, he is then motivated to work since the feeling of love and affection is fulfilled since the need of interaction and making friends at work is satisfied. This is the third level after safety on the pyramid.

Esteem Needs – The need to be appreciated and respected by a team or by the superiors will help in increasing the motivation. According to Maslow this need includes giving the employee self-confidence and self-respect to satisfy the self-ego of the employee. This could be done by giving an award such as Najm in Emirates airlines.

Self-Actualization need –These needs highlights the desire of becoming what you aim for. It is a growth need that keeps people motivated. Reaching this stage means you are fully motivated/ satisfied and this is the final stage of Maslow’s pyramid that not everyone reaches. An example of Self Actualization could be a promotion at work. The Maslow’s theory was used over the past many years by people all over the world. And just like everything else, it has its advantages and disadvantages.
