Both views teach that when Christ returns at the end of time, the resurrection and the judgements will take place as soon as He appears on the scene. The Postmillennialism view takes the one thousand year period just to be a figure of speech. Some of the people believe that it began when Jesus was resurrected and will continue on until He returns again. Other people think it will gradually begin as humans bring the peaceful kingdom into recognition. Then after an unlimited amount of time, Jesus will once again return and have a battle against Satan and all of his evil forces.
