Misleading facts about cigarettes allow the viewers to perceive the product in an extremely negative light. This definitely affects how the audience sees the cigarette. The perception of the product could have changed from a little white piece of paper filled with tobacco, to a four inch length piece of deadly white paper and the “stuff”’ inside cause cancer, tooth decay and death. This is very effective because the ad is putting a negative sight of cigarettes in people’s mind; every time people will see one they will remember the commercial and the chemicals within.
There is not that many outspoken facts in this commercial. The closest thing that come to fact is when the list of chemicals is told to the audience. However, in this commercial I believe that having more facts about the dangers of smoking would have been great. For instance, inputting the amount of cancer cases they found that relate to the outcome of smoking. But, this advertisement is still powerful and gets the job done with what it
