Amazon Echo is a brand of smart speakers developed by Amazon.com. The device links to the voice-controlled smart personal service Alexa, which responds to the name "Alexa". This word can be modified by the user to "Amazon", "Echo" or "Computer". The device has the potential to run many programs carry out different functions like voice interaction, playing music, making to-do lists, acting as an alarm clock, streaming podcasts, playing audiobooks, providing weather updates, traffic and much more useful information. It has the power to control several smart devices by acting as a home automation hub.1

This makes it inviting for customers to come forward and discuss the technology we are presenting rather than if the stuff is pushed back on the table and they are unable to see it. Also we need different ways to attract and create conversation. One of the popular ways to do this is by having a guessing competition, games or a prize wheel. This will create noise and attract attention and before playing the game they will need to have entered their personal details like email address/phone number which will help to communicate with them in the future e.g sending weekly newsletters or informing about future products. The plan that I have in mind is that we have a prize wheel where customers sign up before they play(add their contact details) and then spin the wheel. The highest prize ie the one with the least probability that the spinner lands on will be a 50 pounds Amazon voucher. This makes sense as not only will be get to promote Amazon Echo but through these giveaways people will access the Amazon website and get to know about other products thus a net benefit to the …show more content…
A large table which will contain the pamphlets, brochures and tablets with signup pages that customers will enter their contact details to. It will also have one sample Amazon Echo device to showcase how the gadget works and give a demonstration of Alexa’s features. Since the gadget is expensive it should be taken care of that an Amazon Echo sales representative always is in proximity of the device and monitors it. It will be good practice that when a group of people accumulates infront of the desk the exhibitor demonstrates one of Alexa’s features to the crowd by encouraging their participation e.g by asking one of the members of the crowd to say ‘Alexa what is the weather?’ or ‘Alexa play the news’.
