Allspice has long been known for its disease fighting activities, including being used as an anesthetic, analgesic, antiseptic, carminative, bactericidal, fungicidal, and antioxidant.

Our favourite carribean flavouring ingredient is used heavily in the manufacture of the liqueurs Chartreuse and Benedictine and has been shown to reduce inflammation, swelling and pain in rats.
It also has the ability to increase gastric mucosa in the stomach lining which could help with auto immune conditions caused by leaky gut syndrome.
