Creative Thinking Vs Critical Thinking

Creativity is defined by the blending ideas and elements together that have not been thought of or done before. In its most pure form, creativity represents imagination. Imagination is described as the faculty or action of forming new ideas, images or concepts of external objects not present to the human senses [dictionary.com] of sight, taste, touch, hearing and smell. An example of imagination would be a child using his/her perspectives of imagination to create the world, different from our own, in the form of art or literature. Imagination can also be referenced to two ways of knowledge intuition and emotion. Critical thinking enables one to actively and skillfully analyze information gathered from memory, reasoning, or communication (language), as a guide to belief and action. In its exemplary form, it is based on universal intellectual values that transcend through justification [The critical thinking community]. Whereas creative thinking explores new ideas in a different or new ways of thinking. It can be justified as lateral thinking, the ability to perceive patterns in an imaginative perspective. There are many different forms of creativity, but two of them are in relation to the two areas of knowledge, they are artistic creativity and creative problem-solving. Einstein, as we know, is a world renown physician recognized in the discovery of The Theory of Relativity. In his finding of relativity, Einstein utilizes imagination to enhance his scientific knowledge, rather than critical thinking (Mathematics or Logic). Based on an interview found on the internet, a journalist interviewed Einstein to clarify if his scientific knowledge was fueled by inspiration or intuition. He answered back to say that "I use both actually" and added "I'm enough of an artist to draw freely on my imagination, which I think is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited.
