Akansha Mehta Case Study

Akansha Mehta was very excited. She was going to Athens, Greece for a nice relaxing holiday. She was relieved to have a nice holiday after such a hectic work at the bank (Akansha was a banker). She lived in Mumbai, India.

Akansha took a great interest in world’s oldest cities. She had visited countries like Rome, Egypt, Mesopotamia, Iran, China, etc. Now, she was going to visit the great Greek Empire.
On the day when she was leaving for Greece, she dressed in her new bright purple travelling dress. Then, she wheeled her suitcase out of her house and took a taxi to Airport.
The airport was not too far from her house. Within an hour, she was at the airport. She quickly went through a process of check in and immigration.
At last, her ‘Etihad

This is my first day here. But, why do you ask so?”
“Well, Athens has a lot of excavation sites and it may take a lot of time to see them. Do you have any particular interest in archeology?”
“I have come here as I have a great interest in archeology. In fact, my mother was an archeologist. You won’t believe it, but I have already visited ancient countries like Egypt, China, Mesopotamia and so on. These cities were an interesting lot.”
“You won’t find Greece bad either. You know, of course, that Athens is one of the world’s most ancient cities. I see that you are going somewhere.”
“I am going to the Acropolis museum.”
“Then you can come to my restaurant which is on the way. My brother has a restaurant in Mumbai. I can give you his card and you can sometimes have a complimentary meal there after you return to Australia. Just tell him my name and you can have a good meal there.”

Akansha thought this a good idea and walked towards the restaurant. The restaurant was not a big one and was a sort of shabby type. Inside the restaurant, Akansha saw an old woman whom Nikolas introduced as his wife. He then told Viola, “Won’t you take something?”
“Oh, I don’t want anything. Just had breakfast.”
“Won’t you take even a small item? Orange

She assumed a dignified air and said, “I never asked for the orange juice. So I won’t pay for it. And, I don’t know anything Champagne. So, I won’t pay for that either.”
“You have to at least pay for this young lady’s sandwich. You can’t deny that as you ordered it for her.”
Hearing this, Akansha cleverly said, “I agree that I ordered for her. But as you see, I haven’t got these 45 Euros with me. I have only got 5 Euros which I need for my Acropolis museum ticket. If you agree, we can go to a nearby ATM to take out money.”
Saying this, Akansha handed the 5 Euro note she mentioned she had to Nikolas. Akansha actually had more money than she mentioned, but she didn’t want to part with it as she had got to know that Anna too was the part of the scam. She had suggested that she would go to ATM as she had a plan, that as soon as she was out of the restaurant, she would start screaming for help.
The other three (Nikolas, his wife and Anna) understood her plans, as they denied her going to ATM and covered the entrance of the restaurant completely. The told her to check her bag as she might have some more money.
Akansha pretended to rummage through her bag, till she found the lowest amount note in her bag. It was a 20 Euro

I have always had a passion for history and storytelling since I was a child and decided in seventh grade world history class that I wanted to be an archaeologist, discovering ancient cultures and uncovering their secrets. I maintained this plan, arriving at Boston University as an archaeology major but after several semesters of study realized that it wasn’t the exact path for me. I began to grow my appreciation of museums, admiring how they could ignite wonder, curiosity, and learning in myself and others. I realized this was where I felt most at home. Therefore, I decided to change my major to art history, while retaining an archaeology minor, and explore history through the lens of artist’s interpretations and ideas.…
