I am Ahmari Jones, and I have been selected be apart of the National Junior Honor Society. This is not the first time I have accomplished this achievement. To be a great football team every player on the field must perform in unison. We all must know the play and what to do. Off the field, you have to act with your teammates in mind. Actions taken off the field can impact your play on the field and your availability. I didn’t want my actions off the field to negatively impact my play or availability on it because my team was counting on me. I always kept the guys depending on me in mind. I worked together with my teammates all season. When we were down in a game, I didn’t doubt my teammates or the coaches. We worked together and we won or lost as a team.

I have been able to show my perseverance in all aspects of my life. From sports to the classroom and to everyday life, everyone must be able to show perseverance. I am no different. Without perseverance no one would accomplish anything in life. I work hard and balance school and athletics. Everyone successful or famous has experienced hardships. Will you quit or be staggered, or will you persevere and succeed? “If at first you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again.” Words to live
