2. The purpose for this memorandum is to understand the purpose of the academic committee.
3. The academic committee has been put in place to help all the students in the class to meet all the academic requirements for the engineer advanced leaders course. The academic committee holds study sessions over the material that was covered during that day’s lesson. b. One major key for the academic committee is the environment in which all the study sessions take place. Everyone should be able to participate in an environment free from the concept of seniority or rank. The environment and climate surrounding one of these study sessions should be one in which the soldiers openly and honestly discuss what actually happened in the lesson or what they are struggling in sufficient detail and clarity that not only will everyone understand what do and do not understand and why, most importantly the solider must have a strong desire to seek the opportunity to practice to become an expert of whatever the lesson might have been.
c. The academic committee should make sure that the study sessions occurs in a location that makes the trainer and the soldiers attending the study sessions as comfortable as possible. Creating an environment where members can focus on the task at hand. Creating an environment where members can focus on the study session without distractions.
