According to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), businesses or corporations should base their product advertisement on facts and not lies, with prove to support its argument, and should not be biased. The main reason business advertises is to convince its consumers to purchase their goods that is out comparable to other goods. Otherwise, business could introduce a method that will give more detail in another way than advertising. Therefore, businesses prefer using method that will give consumers no clued relating to information about their goods. However, business uses the deceptive technique to convince their consumers. That is, ambiguity, concealment of facts, exaggeration, and psychological appeals. By far, deceptive advertisement is when the business or corporation uses false information to convince its consumers to goods. …show more content…
In addition, hiding information pose a major threat to morality regarding to speaking the truth and corrupting consumers. If consumers are being denies the importance of knowing about a goods, their decision becomes narrower and misleading. As a matter of fact, moral request that all advertisements be free from lies and should provide essential information. An advertiser could trick it consumers by overstating it product quality without substantial prove. In furtherance, advertisers used the psychological appeal method to convinced consumer emotionally in buying goods.
