Internal Therapy Vs External Therapy

Internal and external treatments are both options for radiotherapy we also have chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy. For Internal therapy the treatment requires important steps before implants are implanted into the tumour. Radioisotopes are held in special containers to shield exposure to people, it withholds radiation.
Safety precautions are also taken before the treatment begins briefly stating patient being shielded by surrounded walls that use specific material to prevent workers and anybody outside the treatment room to being exposed to radiation, also the workers wear lead aprons and other special gear to protect against radiation as they remove it from the special containers.

Another disadvantage is that if the radiographer does not have much experience the calculations may not be 100% correct which could affect healthy cells.
Choosing which treatment is most suitable out of internal and external therapy, internal therapy provides better results whilst avoiding reoccurrence of cancer, on the other hand external therapy provides a method that avoids the use of radiation. In conclusion the operators would choose which option best suits the patient depending on their condition although generally speaking external therapy is more preferable due to the painless procedure whereas internal therapy provides discomfort.
For Chemotherapy a range of tests would need to be carried out for the patient which is part of the technique. Generally, tests would need to be performed in order for your health to be analysed to see if you are eligible to cope with the side effects after the treatment. On top of this, blood tests and general scans would also be done for the final
