Adria Jard Compare And Contrast

Improved Essays
My two friends are extraordinary! They have been in my life since preschool. The two friends I’m comparing today are Adria and Ashton. Both have unique similarities as well as differences. Adria B Girard has glistening brown eyes. Like her eyes, her hair is brown as well. The hair that lays just past her shoulders, has a slight wave to it. She is an average height with a long torso and shorter legs. Her feet are also average size. But she is no average girl. She has a pretty stable home life. Adria has an older brother, and two older sisters, witch makes her the youngest of the family. Her parents have never been divorced. The house witch where she lives is located in a little town called St. Joe. Adria loves pets, and so does her family. …show more content…
Adria Is a competitive person. She participates in basketball, volleyball, and track. She is always making jokes, and that of course something I love to do is laugh, so she definitely makes me laugh. Let’s just say she's a smarty pants, but not in a negative way. If you ever have a question you most likely can ask her and she’ll know. I’m kinda dumb sometimes, so I always can count on her to answer even if it is indeed a dumb question. Ashton Brooke Kahrs is another one of my very best friends. Unlike Adria, Ashton has luminous blue eyes. They both have brown short hair. While Adria’s hair is just wavy, Ashton’s hair is curly. Something that they don’t have in common at all is their height. Ashton is very short, with short legs and a short torso. Her feet are also very small, but don’t let her fool you she is a feisty one. Ashton also has a stable home life. Similar to Adria, she has two sisters, but one is older and the other is younger. That makes Ashton the middle child. She has no brothers. Her parents have never been divorced just as Adria’s. The pet situation at Ashton’s house is different than Adria’s. The Kahrs family has only three cats, and no other pets. Her mom works at the bank, and her dad, with the gas

Rex Walls was the father of Lori, Jeannette, Brian, and Maureen and the husband of Rose Mary Walls. Not only was Rex “an alcoholic genius who kept his family in bizarrely abject poverty” (Wineke) but he was also a magnificent electrician and spent most of his time sketching blueprints for future plans. He was extremely prideful and often needed reassurance of his capability as a provider to his family. Although Rex was a loving father, he was often absent in his children’s lives. He couldn't stand the thought of not being self-supported and was so fraught with paranoia that he spent the majority of his life “doing the skedaddle” (Walls 19) with his family and avoiding bill collectors.…

Steel Magnolias is my favorite movie. This movie reflects the daily lives of six southern women with different personalities and careers. Being a southern girl I could see myself in one of the characters. M'Lynn, Truvy, Annelle, Claree, Shelby and my favorite Ouiser all had a unique personality but are alike in so many ways which is the love they have for their families, one another, and the support for each other during family crisis. They laughed together, cried together and even made jokes about one another but as friends they always made the best out of all obstacles that crossed them rather it was a happy occasion or tragic.…

The Movie Fanny and Alexander (Ingmar Bergman), lays a lot of focus on questioning religion and art. Religion and art are portrayed mainly through the conflicts between the family households in the movie. In this paper I am going to be analyzing the dynamics of the two main family households, the Ekdahls and the Bishop’s. I will be looking at how the families are represented cinematically—what the contrasts are within the different aspects of mise-en-scene, the characters’ stories and the acting. What do the families have in common, and what makes them so different from each other?…
