Words are a very powerful thing. What a person says can affect people’s lives. In this case, words can affect the entire world. Propaganda is simply information, usually biased, used to promote a point of view, a cause, or an idea. It is very important in politics, because it can determine elections and the future of a country. Hitler used many tactics to get Germany’s citizens to accept that Jews were the reason why the country was in bad shape. He used his speeches to ensure citizens that he was the right leader for Germany to make the country great again. He had anti-Semitic propaganda everywhere, from newspapers to movies. There were posters everywhere in Germany that promoted Nazism, Hitler, and anti-Semitism. Regardless of anyone’s personal opinion, it is evident that Hitler knew what he had to do to lead a nation into the path of his choice. He understood propaganda was essential for gain in Germany. The state that the country was in made it easily susceptible to tyrants like Hitler. Citizens became convinced that Jews were the problem, and Germany would not prevail as long as they lived. The distribution of Nazi information through biased newspapers, movies and art made that happen. Anywhere people looked, Nazi propaganda was in sight. By replacing original teachers and curriculum in schools, the education was ruled by Nazism. This and Nazi Youth Organizations helped capture the minds of young, German children. It prepared them to become strong and elitist adults.
