Pet Responsibilities Pet poop strewn all over the front yard is disgusting and owners who don’t police after their pets are lazy. One woman, author Norah Whelan, wrote “What to do about dog owners who don’t pick up poop,” an article published in 2014 on the Ditmas Park Corner website, and she argues the different reasons why pet owners may or may not pick up after their pets and offers advice on how to deal with the situation. Whelan builds her credibility with personal facts and reputable resources.

Whelan suggests using a “kill’em with kindness” approach which is sending the offender a PoopBuddy package, jokingly. Throughout her article, Whelan uses many strong sources that strengthen her credibility and appeal to ethos, as well as build her argument. One source being, Cesar Milan, the Dog

Pit Bulls have been seen as vicious and monstrous dogs for decades and it is hard to change so many people’s minds about something they are set on. People object to adopting Pit Bulls out because they do not know their ‘history’, but to be honest, you don’t know the history of any dog that you adopt from a pound or shelter. In Maddern’s (2014) article, she talks to different people in Newark that have adopted a Pit Bull from a rescue center, like the Humane Society. One of these people was Mike Ossa Jr. Ossa adopted his Pit, Roscoe after returning home from his tour in Afghanistan.…

Because dogs and puppies are neglected and individuals continue to purchase puppies from pet stores or the Internet, a solution is desperately needed. C. The solution that I propose is: I propose that stricter laws regulating puppy mills be enforced both at the federal and state level and that individuals stop purchasing puppies from pet stores but instead look to other alternatives such as animal shelters. 1. Stricter laws protecting dogs and puppies in puppy mills will help decrease the number of animals suffering. Currently, approximately 20 states have laws protecting dogs in puppy mills.…

While recently looking up Canadian laws, Animal Rights popped up and seemed very intriguing. From thereon, the Dog Owners Liability Act surfaced and it states “The owner of a dog is liable for damages resulting from a bite or attack by the dog on another person or domestic animal.” This law does make sense that the owner should take the responsibility of their dog because they were the ones who raised the dog to be the way it is but the one sub issue found with this law is the Pit Bull Ban. The total ban on the Pit Bull breed in Ontario is unacceptable because the government shouldn’t be targeting just the one breed because of the actions of several individual dogs, Pit Bulls shouldn’t be treated differently from other breeds, and if the government is already banning a whole breed, what is going to stop them from banning a bunch of other breeds that have the same attack numbers. Throughout this essay, it will be proven that the total ban of Pit Bulls is ridiculous and the law should be revoked.…

Nonetheless, unlike how issues concerning stormwater and rainwater are viewed as “significant,” issues relating to littering are not. There is an immoderate amount of waste that can be found in the laneways of Melbourne due to improper disposal of waste products. In countless laneways and streets, coffee cups, used tissues, half-eaten foods, gum wrappers, and several other rubbish. Although there are rubbish bins that were found located in quite a number of locations, and signs stating ‘No Dumping’(see figure 6), it is evident that there is quite a number of people who choose to avoid using these bins and decide to disobey this rule. However, the amount of rubbish seems to differ highly depending on how frequently the laneway was found.…

There are no harsh or weird rules about how a manager should address the behavior or performance issues in the laboratory. However; as the manager of Happy Land Lab, I must always be fair and make sure that the employee is notified about her issues and is given a chance to change the situation before I decide the termination is the only solution. It seems that Donna is late, rude and makes mistakes and errors in her performance so she is demonstrating issues in all three categories of attendance, conduct and performance at work. It is obvious that she requires a thoughtful action plan detailing what steps she must take to meet the laboratory’s attendance and behavioural standards and a performance improvement plan that trains her to improve her productivity at work. If Donna is not meeting my expectations, I must have a conversation with her and keep a record of this conversation.…
