In Planned Parenthood’s video, “Moving Beyond Pro-Life vs. Pro-Choice Labels, You're ‘Not in Her Shoes’”, the narrator speaks about how using the pro-choice and pro-life labels limits the conversation about abortion. The speaker further elaborates by stating that the labels that are used to describe people’s personal stance on abortion “do not show people’s true feelings about abortion”. The commentator elucidates women’s personal complications involved with ending a pregnancy, including the complexity and the strenuous decision about receiving an abortion. The narrator goes on to state that women should have safe and legal abortion, without the input of politicians because of the fact that a woman does not go to a politician for medical advice on mammograms, prenatal care, or cancer treatments. The author claims that even if a woman’s life is not endangered by her pregnancy they should still have the right to an abortion because of the drastic physical and emotional changes. Abortion saves lives because without facing the unpredictable struggles having a child creates, it will give females in America a chance to wait until they are completely ready to have a baby. Doyle further persuades the reader with the fact that there is no say of abortion in the Christian Bible. The Bible is a very long book describing bans, pronouncements, and instructions about daily life, yet there is none to be said about abortion.
