What Is Abortion?

Improved Essays
When many people in America think of abortions they just think of the termination of a fetus, not the termination of a specific gender. This is what is happening in many of the North Eastern hemispheres, more of China and India though. What’s happening is because these two countries areas are becoming so populated that they needed to make a way so the problem doesn’t get worse. These people living in China, India, and many other countries are now restricted to only being able to have one child. Many want a son because they can usually make the families more money compared to a girl. Wanting to have a son has gotten so bad that in some places the ratio of boys to girls is 163 to 100. An abortion can come in three different ways: an induced abortion …show more content…
Pro Choice believes that since it is only the woman’s body, she should have the say in what gets done to it. This also supports the women who get raped or are in cases of incest. Many think that having a child after one of these situations could be a constant reminder of the trauma she went through, and that she shouldn’t be reminded of that everyday from her child. Many people are also Pro Choice because foster homes and orphanages are becoming too full and not enough people are adopting these children, so a child could have the possibility of growing up without parents anyway if no one decides to adopt him, and along with that he or she will not, most likely but not certainly, be as happy as a typical normal child with two …show more content…
In 2015 in America 60% of people believe that abortions are morally wrong, so majority of America is Pro Life, but a good chunk is also Pro Choice. Many believe that if abortions become a normal part of our society then many will start to see it as a form of birth control and it will then overall lead to more abortions then necessary. They also see it as what if the fetus you just terminated grew up to be a special part of our society, like a president or a doctor that cures a disease. Of course once you have terminated the fetus you will have no way of never knowing if he or she grew up to be someone important. An opposing argument to this is what if bad person would’ve been aborted like Adolf Hitler or Osama Bin Laden? It is almost guaranteed we’d have a completely different outlook on many things and I personally believe our whole society would be different. Numerous people who are Pro Life also get theirs views from their religion, seeing that if you kill a fetus, or person, it is a sin against

This Gale database source is a very useful reference book that contains a variety of information regarding the two views on abortion. I am pro-choice and this article takes the stance of both sides, pro-choice and pro-life, to argue for and against both opposing views. The article states that people may be pro-life mainly because killing an unborn fetus may seem wrong to many. However, there are other factors that lead people to being pro-life, such as ending a life in general is outright blasphemy, forgetting the fact that the baby has not been born yet. On the other hand, people who are pro-choice believe that the women who is giving birth has the knowledge to control her body.…

Abortion has been a great topic of debate for many years, both in terms of law/rights and in morality/religion. The constant debate has split people into two sides: Pro-Choice and Pro-Life. Those who are Pro-Choice believe that women have a right to decide the fate of their body, health, and life. They personally may not get an abortion, but they feel that it is still the right of the mother to choose. Abortion prevents unsafe pregnancies, protects women 's right to choose, liberates women from patriarchal control over women 's sexual and reproductive lives, and allows the mother to choose whether, when, and how often to have a child.…

    Definition Of Abortion

In the United States the definition of abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy. My definition of abortion is simple; it 's murder. In our own Constitution, the foundation for our country, it states in the inalienable rights section the right to "life, liberty, and happiness"; when you add abortion to the picture were taking away someone 's right who can 't speak for themselves. So not only are we murderers, we are discriminating against those who can 't speak for themselves. I full heartedly believe abortion is wrong in all cases.…
