Observation:
Veronica chose two shapes to create an AB pattern. She created the pattern and showed to the teacher. Teacher asked her to say the pattern that she created. She replied, “Orange Square and yellow …. I don’t know” Teacher said, “It is hexagon”. She said, “Okay”. Teacher told her to transfer her pattern on the strip of paper. She transformed the pattern on the strip of paper by tracing and colouring the shapes.
Interpretation:
Veronica is able to create an AB pattern using the pattern blocks. She is able to create and extend the patter and transform the pattern on the paper. She is able to create an AB pattern on her own.

He starts to form the shapes of triangle, square, and rectangle on the geoboard using rubber bands. He showed the geoboard to the teacher and said, “This is my house. This is square, triangle and long rectangle. I have 1, 2,3,4,5 shapes here” He formed different shapes on the geoboard and draw the shape that he had created on the geoboard onto the recording sheet.
Interpretation
Wei Sheng is able to create shapes using the rubber bands on the geoboards. He is able to name the shapes he formed and count the number of shapes he formed on the geoboard. He is able to transfer the shapes onto the recording sheet.
Fiona
Number puzzle
Observation
During numeracy, Fiona chooses to play with the number puzzle game. She counted the number of items in the picture and matched to its corresponding number. She matched the puzzle to number 10 and placed on the floor in the order. She continued to look for number 11.
Interpretation Fiona is able to match the numerals with the quantity. She concentrated well and payed attention to complete the matching game. Fiona displayed the ability of matching skill, counting and number recognition through this
