It can be obtained by receiving blows to the head and continuing to play sports with brain trauma. Football players are most known of having CTE because of the head to head contact in games. Many victims are in the early 20s when they start noticing CTE symptoms that soon can lead to dangerous events. Jovan Belcher, former football player of the Kansas City Chiefs, was diagnosed with CTE after death afterward committing suicide and killing his girlfriend over an argument. Symptoms that were seen by Jovan were short fuse and aggression that lead to a tragic event. CTE causes a build up of an unusual protein in the brain called tau. Changes of the function of the brain can be seen in months, years, or possibly decades that lead to memory loss, confusion, impulse control problems, and eventually dementia. Girls are easily to get a concussion than to boys due to girls having smaller heads with weaker neck muscles that do not help sustain blows taken. Girls soccer players are 68% more likely to get concussions than to boys. Among basketball players, girls are three times more likely to suffer concussions as to boys. Boys on the other hand have stronger necks with a little bigger size ratio of the head that helps sustain hits. Boys in sports do neck exercises to stiffen it out to help play through high contact sports. With concussions on mind boys are more likely to hide symptoms of concussions while girls are more foreseeable to tell someone of the possibility of having a concussion. Boys tend to play through the pain which can only worsen the situation that can then lead to behavior changes and confusion. Girls who have a concussion without knowing can soon start to show mood changes, low cognitive thinking, and bad balance. Coaches have been taught to see symptoms of concussions and give test to diagnose a possible
