On Friday, Feburary 12, The Consulate General of France in Miami and Philippe Létrilliart Consul General in partnership with The Honors College and the Frost Art Museum at Florida International University present “A Tribute to America’s WWII Veterans”. Having such a ceremony is yet a small gratitude compared to those brave men and women who found during World War II to prevent the spread of Nazism. The award is to honor those who fought alongside France during World War II. Six veterans received the Chevalier dans l'Ordre National de la Legion d’Honneur (Knight in the National Order of the Legion of Honor). The Miami-Florida Jean Monnet Center of Excellence plus students and guests had the pleasure of being present at such a honorable ceremony.
